[reflections + prepping for what's ahead]

Overall, I think I've been able to achieve my initial goals for the SAT---a 1570~~~! But... I now want to get a higher score to be more competitive in Uni Admissions (for Korean medical school admissions, they care abt small differences in SAT score, which sucks). My next steps are to (1) GET A GUARANTEED 800 on Math (I got a 790 :( on the march one....), (2) MEMORIZE MORE VOCAB, (3) REVIEW GRAMMAR, and (4) SOLVE FASTER!

If you're reading this and want to improve your RW score, here's the trick: just LEARN YOUR DAMN VOCAB! After memorizing those 3000~ words, I was able to breeze through many of the questions because the passages felt easy to understand.

But anyways... I've done enough bragging. My other goals are to review (예습) for Math and the Sciences. I admittedly haven't been revising IB Sciences... but Math has still consistently been in focus. I plan on getting my foundations strong and to make sure that I can get better at math than my teacher. That's my goal. To tower over my math teacher. ;)

Goal until next post: build a habit of approaching SAT questions systematically + get 800s consistently on practice tests + revise Math related rates

[prepping for the March SAT]

After months of studying BORING vocab, I've finally moved onto solving practice sets. But it's not as easy as I thought. The knowledge isn't the bottleneck anymore, but now, the time is a huge obstacle. I need to develop habits for systematic, rapid problem-solving to improve my efficiency. I should be moving with enough speed to leave room for a second check.

Goal until March 5: build a habit of approaching questions systematically, without hesitation.

Someone once told me that keeping a written record isn't just about memory; it's about discipline. By forcing thoughts into sentences, we find where our logic is weak and where our convictions are strong.

This space is dedicated to deep work and the mastery of the IB Diploma Programme curriculum through focused reflection.
